To forge new connections and celebrate the community of students and universities of FUSE National, we created a literary magazine to close out the conference this year! But instead of this being a lengthy process stretched over the free time we could find, we decided to collaboratively tackle the whole thing in 24 hours: choosing a name and mission statement, designing a logo and cover, promoting on social media, publicizing and soliciting submissions, selecting pieces, copyediting, and layout.

A team of 7 people from Susquehanna University, Widener University, Appalachian State University, and Calumet College of St. Joseph undertook the challenge this year and created the literary magazine named Moondial. The team solicited submissions from the conference attendees after the Open Mic and worked very hard to put the magazine together during the limited timeframe. After the 24 hours was up, the team met on Zoom with the conference attendees in the event titled "How to Publication" to discuss the process and showcase what they accomplished. Check out the completed magazine and the perspectives of the team below!

- Hannah Mackey

"This was my first experience doing anything like this, and it was definitely a lot of fun."
