“The Sound and Fury publishes poetry, short stories, short plays, criticism, and essays to celebrate the art and beauty of writing and the diversity of student voices. Avila students and high school students in the community are invited to submit their work. The magazine gives annual awards for the Best Poetry, Best Fiction, Best Essay, and Best Play. The magazine is edited by students under the supervision of Avila’s Artist in Residence, Professor Stanley Banks. Sound and Fury is published in the spring semester of each year.”
